Volunteer opportunity at ALIVE!

Posted on Dec 7 2018 - 10:54pm
This is the SPL, Albert Calamug.

We have a volunteering opportunity on December 8th to help ALIVE! distribute food to about 130 Alexandria families who are food insecure. The Saturday Food Distribution takes place from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Cora Kelly Recreation Center. Please attend if you can, dress warmly, and wear the new blue Class B shirts. Please RSVP with the link below.

We will be sorting, bagging, and distributing canned goods and fresh produce for these families. There is also a donation for new or used household items for the families to take and use.

This event is work but is rewarding because you get to see who you are helping out immediately.  Furthermore, ALIVE! is mostly volunteer-based and you can show up and stay as long as you can but please aim to stay for the entire time. Finally, you can get some service hours here which will count towards rank advancement! Hope to see you all there! For more information about ALIVE!, click here: https://www.alive-inc.org/volunteer.htm.

Thanks!
